Kan Oran Reef
Slightly north of the Marine Sanctuary is a gentle wall dive that ‘Kan-Uran Point’ affords divers. Kan-uran means ’from the person,’ in the local Visayan dialect. Newbie fun divers can experience getting inside overhangs & ledges to explore an abundant gentle explosion of colorful soft & hard coral gardens.
Nudibranchs are exposed on the reef while sailfin gobies, razor shrimp, moray eels & pipefish can be observed by the trained eye on the corals & sponges along the ledges on the wall. Large spotted groupers & midnight snappers have claimed their residence as well as a variety of surgeonfish & big nose unicornfish.
