Flooded chalk quarries are located 20 kilometers from the city of Lyuban. Water in the blue quarry. This color of water is due to the presence of calcium salts, of which chalk is composed. That is why there is no lush vegetation off the coast - nothing grows on the chalk bottom.
There are very few plants in the lake and there is no food base for fish. Perch can be found among the inhabitants, crayfish can be found. Depth 18 meters.
