The P51 Mustang lies on the southern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio. Resting on a 19m sandy bottom, the wings are silted up, but the whole fuselage is clearly visible.
The P51 MUSTANG, the aircraft of Lt Don Taylor, 31st Fighter group, 309th fighter squadron, lost on July 5, 1944 after a stopover in Ajaccio.
