Right in front of the Martinhal resort lies the Martinhal reef. It is a large area of rock which changes from a relatively flat rocky bottom to larger boulders as you move towards the south in direction of the harbour. It is a great spot for begginers with a max depth of 11m, and it is beautiful for night dives
All the typical species of Sagres are found here: cephalopods, nudibranchs (such as the rare crystal nudibranch), crustaceans, sponges, rays, many species of fish
