This point is actually called Punta Mares and closes the western part of the bay of Portinatx. Its vertical walls falls to a depth of 38 meters, where successive rock barriers host many species.
You can find pelagic fishes like the greater amberjack and the albacore, swimming around the resident fishes like the golden grouper, the dusky grouper and the spotted codling.
