Tug boat Romital was cruising from Novigrad to Triest in the night of 20.12.1944. Near the cape of Savudrija it had problem with engine and a water flood. The crew was rescued, but Romital was attacked by 4 Beaufighter planes and went down to the bottom. Now its the most colorful wreck in Northern Istria.
Romital is a home of a few massive conger eels. Scorpions, Gunards and even Angler fish cen be seen here. Wreck is covered with colorful sponges and soft corals what makes it attractive
