Shimura Beach
Shimura Beach in Katsuura, Chiba, lies west of the Underwater Park. It features varied topography and shallow areas ideal for beginners. Entry is via the fishery cooperative, and guide ropes, buoys, and marked 30m lines support safe training and experience dives.
Shimura Beach offers solitary snapper, basketfish, seahorses, dogfish, nudibranchs, dungfish, bluefin squid, horse mackerel, sardines, stingrays, basking sharks, and snappers.
