Snake Hole
Snake Hole, on the west coast of Irabu Island, Okinawa, is a favorite among topography divers. The cave sits at 5–8m depth, with a 4m-wide, 10m-deep chamber. Inside the air dome, shifting pressure from waves can create a fog-like effect, producing an eerie and beautiful underwater scene.
Snake Hole hosts cave-dwelling fish and crustaceans, notably southern giant hawkfish, longnose hawkfish, and tuna giant hawkfish.
