Snapper Hole
Snapper Hole is a complex network of swim-throughs, tunnels, and caverns on the East End. Notable features include a cavern filmed for a BBC documentary, a massive 1872 Spanish-style anchor leaning against a coral head, and a mushroom-shaped formation known as Papa Smurf’s House.
Summer silverside swarms attract tarpon and jacks. The site hosts schoolmaster snappers, porkfish, and a resident green moray eel navigating the coral and mushroom-shaped structures.
