The Waidsee is located about 15 km northeast of Mannheim in Weinheim. The quarry pond, which was created at the end of the 60s by the mining of gravel (the A5 runs directly past it). Year-round access only via dive center.
Very many perch, pike and some very large catfish are regularly sighted. Especially in winter the catfish are regularly seen in shallow water.
