Mar Menuda (★4.6)
Departure from the coast, famous for its ease, diversity and abundance of life. Different routes with pre-coraligen from 17m to 30m. Ideal for day and night dives.
The common monkfish (Lophius piscatorius), also known as anglerfish or goosefish, is one of the most unusual-looking marine species you might encounter while diving. With its flattened body, enormous mouth, and lure-like appendage, the monkfish is a master of camouflage and ambush. It hides on sandy or muddy seafloors, lying in wait to surprise passing prey. Found in temperate Atlantic waters, particularly off the coasts of Europe and the North Atlantic shelf, monkfish generally inhabit deeper zones, making them more likely to be seen on technical or deep recreational dives. Though not a frequent sight, spotting one resting motionless on the bottom is a memorable experience for any diver.
