Gamul Soraya (★4.4)

About 30 minutes from the coast by boat. The main reef extends to 14m deep. The south side goes to 20m. There is little current but due to its size, it can be a bit windy and is not always approachable when winds are strong.

House reef Paradise Beach Safaga (★4.3)

The Paradise House Reef is located in a sheltered bay near Safaga and can be accessed directly from the shore. Shallow seagrass areas transition into a diverse reef with coral gardens and artificial structures. Generally calm conditions with good visibility.

Ras Umm Hesiwa (★4.6)

Ras Um Hesiwa is a distinctive reef near Safaga featuring a pronounced drop-off, plateaus and coral blocks. The topography includes steep walls and varied structures. Often mild to moderate currents.

Sha’ab Sheer Soraya (★4.4)

Shaab Sheer Soraya is an elongated reef system near Safaga with multiple plateaus, coral blocks and sandy areas. The reef runs parallel to the coastline and offers varied structures. Usually mild to moderate currents.
Centrum Nurkowe Aqarium, 78-100 Kołobrzeg

Salem Express, wreck (★4.6)

Travel time approx. 90 minutes. This wreck sank in 1991 with many casualties. The Salem Express is 110m long and 18m wide. She lies at a depth of 12-33m.

Shaab Hamdallah (★4.3)

Approx. 90 minutes of travel time. This site can only be approached in calm weather, as there is no protective reef to stop on. Therefore, it is not dived frequently making it pristine and beautiful!

Shaab Saiman is a medium-sized reef near Safaga with shallow plateaus, coral blocks and sandy areas. The topography is varied with small overhangs and ergs. Usually calm to mildly current-affected conditions.

Tobia Kebir (★4.4)

An easy dive without much current, therefore suitable for beginner divers. From Tobia Kebir, you can make 3 different dives. Also diveable in bad weather.

Um Hal Hal (Shaab Quais) (★4.3)

Shaab Quais (Um Hal Hal) is an elongated reef near Safaga featuring multiple coral blocks and sandy areas. The site offers varied topography with small ergs, shallow plateaus and occasional overhangs. Usually mild currents and good visibility.

Tobia Hamra (★4.4)

With a depth of 5-40m this site has something for everyone. It is also very nice for snorkelers. Navigation to the boat can sometimes be a bit difficult because it is located in the middle of the coral garden.

Tobia Island (★4.3)

Tobia Island is a shallow reef near Safaga featuring a central sandbank surrounded by coral formations. Small ergs, seagrass areas and sandy patches define the topography. Usually calm conditions with little current.

Shaab Tamina is a small reef near Safaga with shallow plateaus, sandy areas and scattered coral blocks. The topography is easy to navigate and well suited for simple dive plans. Usually calm conditions with little current.

Al Kahfain (Wreck) (★4.5)

At the Al Kahfain you can only stop at the south wind, otherwise, the wreck can only be dived in a one-way dive. You jump off the boat at the wreck and then dive past the wreck, right shoulder over the coral garden, then back to the anchorages on the east side of Shaab Sheer.

Sha’ab Sheer West (★4.4)

This is a great dive site for all levels of diver with bottom depths from 14- 30m. Be aware that in the channel there can be a little stronger current, making it nearly impossible to get through. Because of this, you can only dive the inside area.
Centrum Nurkowe Aqarium, 78-100 Kołobrzeg

Abu Soma Garden (★4.4)

This dive site is shallow to over 30m with little current, therefore, it is suitable for beginner divers. Because the coral garden is shallow, it is also a very nice place for snorkeling.

Abu Kafan (★4.3)

Abu Kafan is a long, narrow reef with a large plateau running north to south. Roughly translated, Abu Karan means “father of the deep.“ This steep wall drops vertically to well over the 100 meters deep.
ORCA DIVE CLUB SOMA BAY, Soma Bay

Gamul Kebir (★4.3)

Short driving time of approx. 25 minutes and can be approached even in strong winds. Shallow reef (max 16m) with great lighting conditions. Apart from the channel, there is little to no current.

An unspoiled house reef in a nature reserve, just a few hundred meters from the dive sites “Shaab Saiman” and “Sharm el Rashed” favorites among diving enthusiasts invites both beginners and experienced divers to enjoy a variety of dives.

Approx. 90-minute boat ride but worth the trip. From 5 to over 40m deep everything available to see. This is a nice dive site for one way drift dives. Many blocks form a kind of fun labyrinth.

Ras Abu Soma is a drift dive site near Safaga featuring an elongated reef with steep drop-offs and coral formations. The dive is usually conducted as a drift along the reef. Often moderate to strong currents.

The Somabay headland forms the northern end of Safaga Bay. The “Ras“ (head), is a steep wall that ends in the south on a 25m deep plateau, main current direction is coming from the north. On the plateau you can find ancient table corals up to 4m in size, and a steep wall.

Sha’ab Sheer East (★4.4)

This rest area is popular and frequented by safari boats due to its large, quiet and safe dock. The reef begins only a few inches below the surface and at low tide, the tips of the coral heads break through the surface.

Tobia Arbaa is a popular dive site near Safaga and can be reached by speedboat or daily boat tour. The dive site contains five main pinnacles on a shallow sandy bottom and is suitable for entry level and advanced divers alike.

Shaab Soraya is a small, isolated reef near Safaga with shallow plateaus and steep drop-offs. The topography is compact, featuring coral blocks and sandy areas. Depending on conditions, mild to moderate currents.

Panorama Reef North (★4.5)

Panorama Reef is one of the top dive sites in the Safaga area. The reef formation and location attract all the amazing large marine species that you would expect to see in the deep blue. Two different dives can be done here: north and south Plato. Both dives average 0 to 40m plus in depth.

Approach by boat about 60 min, large outer reef with north and south plateau, depth 18-32m. Steep walls on east and west side, depth 40m+ with current mostly from north direction, in light to medium strength.

Abu Kafan North (★4.4)

Abu Kafan North Depth: 6 – 100m / Cruising Time: 80-90 min. This site is about 80 minutes outside of Soma Bay. Roughly translated, Abu Kafan means “father of the abyss“ and this is a fitting description for this reef. If you dive here you will know why! Abu Kafan can be described as a smaller version of Elphinstone.

MACHINE TRANSLATION: Abu Kafan Depth: 6 - 100m / Travel time: 80-90 min.is about 80 minutes outside Of Soma Bay. Roughly translated, Abu Kafan means "father of the abyss". This is a suitable description for this reef. If you dive here, you know why! Abu Kafan can be described as a smaller version of Elphinstone.

Cannon Reef is about 90 minutes by boat. The reef is divable in 2 directions, the main reef as well as the south blocks, with depths up to approx. 15m. It is a drift-free dive site.
