Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. This way, you’ll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! This course will expand your diving knowledge so you can plan safe dives using enriched air mixtures with up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

If you can’t decide which specialty programs are best for you, sign up for the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program! You’ll get to try Deep Diving and Navigation, as well as three other specialty areas, before deciding on a full specialty course. It’s a great way to learn what the Advanced Open Water Diver training is all about and how valuable it can be for your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program, you’ll be introduced to 5 different specialties by completing one open-water training dive per specialty following a detailed briefing with your SSI instructor. This program gives you complete freedom to explore everything. You can complete the full specialty training at any time and have it count toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

As a deep diver, you have the unique opportunity to discover some of the world’s best dive sites and the most popular marine life. There is so much waiting for you in the deep blue sea. Through a balanced combination of classroom sessions and open-water dives, the SSI Deep Diving Specialty course will teach you everything you need to know for dives between 18 and 40 meters. You’ll learn how to plan and conduct your deep-diving adventures safely and how to get the most out of your deep dives using dive computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completing the course, you’ll receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and can explore the most beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for other advanced training courses, making it the next logical step in your diving education.

Get started today—you must be a Divemaster or hold an equivalent certification to participate in SSI’s 3-level Instructor Training Program. The training begins with participation in the combined Assistant Instructor/Instructor Training Course, accompanied by digital learning. After successfully completing the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you’ll take part in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day course qualifies you to independently teach various SSI core programs such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue, and Dive Guide. If you’d like to take more time between training sessions to study and gain valuable teaching experience, you can also complete the three parts individually—Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course (ITC), and Instructor Evaluation (IE)—one after another at your own pace and with a flexible schedule.
