Cyprus - Zenobia Wreck

Our destination is Larnaca and the Zenobia wreck—considered one of the 10 best dive wrecks in the world.

The Zenobia was built in Sweden in 1979. On its maiden voyage, the ferry set sail for Tartous, Syria, traveling from Malmö through the Strait of Gibraltar and stopping at a port in Crete and Piraeus in Athens. During the voyage, problems with the ballast management system were discovered. The ship arrived in Larnaca, Cyprus, on June 2, 1980. Due to technical problems, the ship anchored about 1.5 miles from the port. Despite the measures taken and the initial resolution of the problem, the ship listed to port and, in that position, sank to a depth of 42 meters on June 7, 1980. No one was injured during this incident; the passengers and crew were evacuated to shore.

Join us for a long weekend in Cyprus—a unique island in the eastern Mediterranean, located between Turkey, Syria, and Lebanon.

The first traces of settlement on the island date back to the Neolithic era, approximately 9,000 years ago. In later periods, the island was strongly influenced by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Byzantines, Romans, and Turks. This has created the island’s unique atmosphere and rich history, and the island also captivates visitors with its stunning scenery.

Cyprus is an island where you can explore, go diving, and enjoy delicious local cuisine. Larnaca, where we’ll be staying, is a tourist town with a seaside promenade and countless bars and restaurants for evening relaxation.

Diving weekend at the magical Honoratka

Diving weekend at the magical Honoratka

A weekend without Honoratka is a weekend lost... So we invite you to another diving weekend at Honoratka! We plan tourist dives for those who have taken courses and courses for those who are beginning and those who are developing. Honoratka is a body of water created after flooding an open pit lignite mine located a short distance from Konin. It is one of the most interesting dive sites in Poland in terms of rich littoral and submerged phantoms underwater. The local diving base is constantly developing infrastructure both above and underwater. Here you can see amazing coal rock formations, walls, a helicopter, a boat, a magical sunken forest, as well as the remains of small equipment from retreating miners. An underwater track through the forest, training platforms, walls, a caravan, etc. has been prepared. Also, a railing has recently been led to the deep part of the basin at +40 m, so divers with Deep Diver qualifications will be able to visit it and see what the organizers have prepared on the way to this depth. We meet on Saturday at 9.15 am at the base on Honoratka. A bus for those willing starts at 6.30 from our center on Jagny. We sleep in one of the two nearby hotels, with proven cuisine and a nice atmosphere allowing for evening integration. On Saturday between dives we invite you to a barbecue with meat and meatless snacks. On Sunday, we usually finish the second dive around 2 pm.
