The SSI Explorers program allows children ages six and up to dive underwater and try different ways they can explore the aquatic world around them. They will gain a solid foundation in ocean conservation and have the opportunity to experience the ultimate aquatic adventure: snorkeling and scuba diving. SSI Explorers can also expand their diving knowledge as they continue their underwater experience with specialized courses such as marine mammal ecology, underwater photography, and 20 other courses. In addition to fun for the whole family, your children who have not yet reached the minimum age for diving will learn important life skills. Restart your life! Become an SSI Instructor and turn your dreams into reality. The training process begins with joining a combination of the Assistant Instructor and Instructor Training courses. The entire program consists of theoretical lectures, pool and open water instruction, and is supplemented by digital instruction. Upon successful completion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will pass the final "Instructor Evaluation (IE)" assessment to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This ten-day training program qualifies you to self-instruct various SSI core programs such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Perfect Buoyancy, Diver Stress & Rescue, and Dive Guide. For those who want to spend more time learning and gain valuable teaching experience between training programs, the 3 parts can also be taken as individual steps - Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course (ITC) and Instructor Evaluation (IE) sequentially at your own pace and with a flexible schedule.

In this fascinating program, you will learn all the skills you need to safely and confidently conduct search and recovery dives. You will be taught how to use search patterns, specialized dive plans and equipment such as lift bags, lines and reels. By developing your search and communication techniques and practicing searches in a dive team, you will become a confident search and rescue diver in no time. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Search & Recovery specialty certification.

The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program is suitable for those who don't know which specialty to choose. In this program, you will try out different specializations before deciding on a fully specialized course. It's a great way to experience what advanced diver training entails and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program, you will try 5 different specializations. In each specialization, you will complete one open water training dive after a detailed briefing with an SSI instructor. With this trial program of specializations, you will have complete freedom when diving. At any time in the future, you can take the complete specialization programs and count your Advanced Open Water Diver training towards them. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be certified as an SSI Advanced Open Water Diver.

With the SSI Scuba Skills Update, we will get you back in the water and diving with ease in no time. This scuba refresher course allows you to review and practice scuba skills you learned in your Open Water Diver program, under the guidance of an SSI Professional. This is a great course to take just before a dive holiday, so you spend less time worrying about your skills and more time admiring the marine life. If you are a non-certified Open Water Diver student, a Scuba Skills Update is ideal for practicing your dive skills before your open water training dives. With no fixed course duration, you can take your time and focus on the skills you need help with.

The Dive Guide program is the first step on an exciting journey. Learn to safely guide certified divers in a variety of environments and conditions. By providing briefings, evaluating sites and leading dives, you will become a trusted Dive Guide in no time. A true dive professional, master and assistant for SSI recreational courses. In the SSI Divemaster course you will gain all the knowledge and training needed to become a certified assistant. This will allow you to act as an assistant on all recreational courses and assist on open water training dives.

Wreck diving has a lot to offer, not only do you get to see interesting and historic wrecks, but many wrecks have become artificial reefs covered in an abundance of colorful coral and home to schools of fish. In SSI's Wreck Diving Specialization Course, you'll learn to locate and name wrecks, learn new techniques for non-penetrating dives, and enter a new dimension of diving adventures. In the SSI Advanced Wreck Diver course, you will learn new skills needed for penetrating wreck dives up to 40 meters in the daylight zone. You will learn new techniques, guide line work, learn special equipment and improve your diving skills. We teach wreck diving courses at our partner bases in Montenegro, Malta and the UK.

Diving in caverns and cenotes opens up a new dimension of confined space diving with a veil of mystery, while giving you a glimpse into the exciting world of cave diving. As an SSI Cavern & Cenote Diver, you will learn how to use cave diving equipment, gas management concepts, and buddy team skills to safely conduct cavern and cenote dives. The SSI Cavern/Cenote Diving program provides divers with the training necessary to independently plan and execute limited penetration, no-decompression dives in natural environments, to a maximum depth of 30 meters or a linear distance of 40 meters, using specialized equipment in confined spaces and procedures with an equally or more qualified buddy.

The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving for the first time. With SSI's Scooter Diver / DPV specialization, you'll make the most of your time underwater, have more fun and reach more remote locations at your favorite sites. In this course, you will learn how to safely plan and execute dives using an underwater scooter. Upon completion of the program, you will earn your SSI Scooter / DPV Diving Specialty certification.

With Dry Suit Diving certification, you can dive anywhere in the world in warmth and comfort all year round. It's the best way to significantly extend your diving season and explore cold-water diving areas without getting cold. In this program, you'll learn everything you need to be safe and comfortable in a dry suit and practice techniques to help you handle tricky situations with your dive gear. Upon completion of the course, you will be certified as an SSI Dry Suit Diver.

Gain a thorough understanding of diving equipment, physics and the underwater environment. In SSI's Science of Diving course, you'll expand your knowledge of the underwater environment and its effects on the human body, gain new knowledge of physics, and look at the details of diving equipment. This specialization will advance your knowledge to the level of diving professionals. The SSI Science of diving specialization is required for the following professional courses or some Extended Range courses. Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive the SSI Science of diving certification.

The SSI Independent Diver Specialty Course is a course designed to train divers to dive independently without compromising safety. The key word for this course will be "self-sufficiency". We will train you to be aware of your personal and environmental condition at all times. You will learn how to properly plan a dive, observe and adhere to personal restrictions and how to prevent accidents in and out of the water. Who is this program for? The SSI Independent Diver course is commonly sought after by experienced underwater photographers and videographers who desire personal freedom underwater. If you have 75 logged dives or more and would like to learn what independent diving entails, you can enroll in the course. You will become a reliable diver in a team that is always a strong and reassuring presence for everyone. This course is very popular in combination with the sidemount course, which allows you to dive with two diving tanks.

The SSI Altitude Diving program provides students with basic knowledge and skills needed to safely dive at elevations above 300 meters.
