Event description

[What You’ll Experience in This Course]

This course allows you to earn SSI’s (*) official beginner-level freediving certification (commonly known as a “license”). You will learn the fundamentals of freediving—“breathing,” “ear equalization,” “fin work,” and “safety”—through three steps: classroom instruction, pool training, and open-water training. *SSI: A global diving education organization and a highly reputable training body with internationally standardized safety standards and instructional materials. Once certified, you will be able to free dive in open water to a depth of 20 meters with a buddy.

[Course Content]

■ Day 1 AM | Classroom Session (approx. 2 hours) (*e-learning review) 　
- The relationship between pressure and internal body cavities 　- The mechanism of ear equalization 　
- About blackouts and LMC 　
- Buddy Rescue etc...

■ Day 1 PM | Pool Session (approx. 2 hours) 　
- Breathing Preparation (Warm-up) 　
- Static (Stationary Breath-Hold) 　
- Dynamic (parallel dive) 　
- Fin Work Improvement 　
- Underwater Rescue etc...

■ Day 2 | 2 Open Water Sessions (approx. 4–5 hours total) 　
- Ear equalization practice 　
- Descending Technique (Duck Dive) 　
- Line dive using a rope 　
- Aiming for depths of 10–20 meters 　
- Rescue in open water etc...

  • All courses are conducted in Japanese, so even first-time freedivers can feel at ease.
  • Small class sizes allow us to proceed at each individual’s own pace
  • With 20 years of competitive swimming experience and as an active freediver, I specialize in helping divers improve their form.

A$550 (¥62,000) (tax included)

  • Not included: Rental fees for fins, masks, snorkels, and wetsuits
  • Included: Course fees, pool facility usage fees, SSI digital course materials, and certification fees ・To confirm your registration, you must pay a deposit of A$350 (¥40,000) (tax included) in advance. Please pay the remaining balance by the course start date.
  • *Minimum number of participants: 1; maximum number: 4 *Schedules may be changed or canceled due to weather or sea conditions.

  • Minimum age: 12 years old ・Must be able to swim 100 meters or more unaided
