If you are already a Divemaster, you can access the Assistant Instructor course and continue your professional career. This course will give you the necessary qualification to participate in the Instructor Training Course (ITC), which will be given at the end of your Assistant Instructor course, so we will link it with the Instructor course and the exam.

SSI's Scuba Diver program combines online learning with confined and open water dives, so you'll have the basic knowledge you need to dive safely and confidently. You'll learn everything you need to know to dive in open water to a depth of 12 meters with an SSI professional. With this program you will complete almost half of the Open Water Diver program and can easily upgrade your certification. You only need to complete the remaining academic portion and confined water sessions, plus two open water training dives.

To start the training process, enroll in the Assistant Instructor/Instructor Training Course combination and supplement it with digital learning. Once you have successfully completed the course, you can complete the Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day training program allows you to teach several key SSI programs independently, such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. This dive program is totally flexible, so you can choose the topics that interest you, such as primary care, first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques. The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty will teach you to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You will learn how to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using a total recreational dive system and a single decompression cylinder. In addition, you will know how to effectively use the dive computer functions, including gas switching, gas integration, time to reserve and time to surface. Eventually, you will use these dive computer functions instinctively and safely perform limited decompression dives without hours of planning.
