This specialty course teaches you the knowledge and advanced skills you need for safe and confident underwater navigation. You’ll learn how to use a compass correctly, natural navigation techniques, estimating distances, leaving and returning to a specific point, and simple navigation patterns. You’ll also learn how to combine navigation techniques to optimize your diving experience. All of this sharpens your observational skills underwater, increases your dive safety, and helps you get the most out of every dive. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.
