The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course teaches you how to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You’ll learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single tank. You’ll learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas switching or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become second nature to you, allowing you to conduct safe limited-decompression dives without spending hours planning each dive. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore breathtaking deep dive sites or large wrecks without being limited by no-decompression limits. The local underwater world in the Rhine offers a multitude of opportunities for impressive diving experiences and invites you to explore. The feeling of the current and the impressive amount of fish make river diving in the Rhine a unique experience. In the Specialty River Diving you will learn how to prepare your equipment for diving in rivers and which river-specific additional equipment and rescue equipment is required. In theory and practice, you will be familiarized with the safe planning, preparation and execution of river dives.

The pressure test and visual inspection must be performed alternately every two and a half years and are mandatory for all scuba tanks. The tanks are disassembled, prepared for inspection, taken to and picked up from the inspection site, the O-ring on the tank neck is replaced, and the tanks are refilled. In the Specialty Enriched Air Nitrox you will learn how to safely plan, prepare and conduct nitrox dives with gas mixtures consisting of oxygen-enriched air with a maximum O2 content of 40%. In the practical part of the course, the content of the theoretical training will be put into practice. For this purpose, the equipment for the (simulated) dive should be prepared and an air analysis carried out with the prescribed logistics. Optionally, real dives with Nitrox can also be integrated into the training. After completing the course, you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 40%.

Wall diving in the Marienschlucht is simply incredible! The wall seems to go on forever. It starts at a depth of just 2 meters and drops deeper and deeper. This allows you to dive at your own level while enjoying the impressive steep wall to the fullest.In the morning, we’ll take a boat to Marienschlucht to make the most of the beautiful sunlight and experience the wall in all its glory. In 1864, the steamship Jura sank after a collision with another Lake Constance steamer, the Stadt Zürich. The wreck soon fell into oblivion and was only rediscovered in 1953 during search work for an aircraft wreck. Today the Jura offers the possibility of a spectacular wreck dive, which takes you to a depth of 38 m. As this dive is quite demanding, the basic requirements are: at least 50 logged dives at this depth and mastery of the dry suit. Are you in? CHF 59.-

Experience and enjoy the beautiful dive sites of the Red Sea with us during a 7 day liveaboard on the Ocean Windows ST. Johns & Elba Reef Tour St. Johns is located in the southernmost part of the Red Sea near the Sudanese border. It is a group of countless small reefs, all very lush with coral, each a little different from the next. Here you can encounter pretty much all the inhabitants of the Red Sea: from sharks to manta rays, dolphins and turtles to the endangered bumphead parrotfish. At Elba Reef, get ready to explore the area, which has remained untouched and has never seen mass diving tourism before. Technically in the northern part of Sudan, on the border with Egypt, the area features three reefs that we call the Elba region. Huge coral fans can be found on the edge of the plateau. It is not uncommon to see some large pelagic fish here, such as gray reef sharks and even hammerheads.

The Dugong Diving Group meets from mid-May through mid-October, alternating between Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:45 p.m., directly at the dive site for group dives in a relaxed atmosphere. Both newly certified beginners and experienced divers are welcome. There are suitable dive sites available for all skill levels, and after the dives, everyone enjoys chatting over drinks together.
