In this specialty program, you will gain the advanced skills and knowledge you need to safely and confidently navigate underwater. You will learn how to use a compass and natural navigation techniques, estimate distance, how to leave and return to a designated point, plus basic navigation patterns. You will also be taught how to combine navigation techniques to enhance your diving experience. All of which hones your underwater observation skills, improves your dive safety and helps you to get the most out of every dive. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.

In this fascinating program, you will learn all the skills you need to safely and confidently conduct search and recovery dives. You will be taught how to use search patterns, specialised dive plans and equipment such as lift bags, lines and reels. By developing your search and communication techniques and practicing searches in a dive team, you will become a confident search and recovery diver in no time. This course is a perfect prequel to your SSI Stress and Rescue course as it will teach you many of the skills you can bring to the rescue and keep you one step ahead of the game.Course costs include, your theory, one pool session, and two open water dives & final certification. As well as going over some of the theory & answering any questions you may have, on completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40% certification. This program expands on the knowledge and skills learned in the SSI Wreck Diver Specialty. You will learn the skills required to plan and execute a penetration dive on a wreck. This includes buoyancy control, emergency procedures and using specialised equipment to lay a single guideline in a wreck that has clearly visible entry points that allows access to the surface in an emergency. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program really is one of the best qualifications you can gain, both in terms of  skills acquired & fun had & should be a must for all divers, teaching you the skills you need to protect yourself and others. You will learn how to identify stress, how to prevent accidents and be taught practical techniques to conduct rescues and provide emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water practice sessions, you will become well prepared and confident at handling emergency and rescue situations, increasing your confidence and your skill level and its great fun. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification. If you do not already have a valid first aid qualification this will also need to be completed prior to your open water days. The SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty Program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive while using a dry suit. You will learn the special requirements for dry suit diving, how to use your new equipment, the benefits of a dry suit, and how to deal with emergency situations that are unique to dry suit diving.  Great dive experiences are not limited to tropical reefs or the warm and sunny summer months. With the proper exposure protection, you can make diving a year-round activity, and experience the amazing diversity of dive sites.
