Get started today - You need to be a Divemaster or equivalent to join SSI's 3-step Instructor Training Approach. The training process begins with enrollment in the Assistant Instructor/Instructor Training Course combination accompanied by digital learning. Upon successful completion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will enroll in an Instructor Assessment (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day training program trains you to independently teach several key SSI programs, such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue, and Dive Guide. For those who want to take more time to learn and gain valuable teaching experience between training programs, the 3 parts can also be done as individual steps: Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course (ITC) and Instructor Evaluation (IE), one after the other, at your own pace and with a flexible schedule.

React Right is SSI's first aid and emergency course: it gives you the training and knowledge you need to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. This dive program is totally flexible, so you can choose the topics that interest you, such as primary care, first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques. You can also learn the basics of automatic external defibrillation (AED) and oxygen administration in emergency diving situations. This program, which combines academic sessions and hands-on training scenarios, gives you the tools and confidence you need to perform correctly. When you earn your certification, you'll be able to respond and administer first aid, CPR and oxygen and offer assistance with an AED in the event of a medical emergency. The dives are done from an 8-meter boat specially equipped for recreational diving, designed to provide comfort and safety during the whole activity.The boarding is done directly from the beach, already equipped with wetsuit. Depending on the chosen site and the weather conditions of the day, the sailing lasts approximately 7 to 20 minutes. All outings are accompanied by professional guides of the company, who adapt each dive to the level of the group and the sea conditions. How is the course conducted?The path to becoming a diver is divided into three very simple steps:Theory at home: Download an app on your phone and work through the modules at your own pace. It features interactive videos and easy-to-understand quizzes to help you understand how the equipment works and the physics of water.Pool Sessions: You’ll go to a heated pool with your instructor. There, you’ll learn to breathe underwater for the first time, clear water from your mask if a little gets in, and move around while wearing your gear until you feel 100% comfortable.The Big Leap into Open Water: To finish up, you’ll complete 4 real dives in the ocean, a lake, or a quarry. With SSI’s Diver Stress & Rescue specialty program, you’ll learn the skills necessary to protect yourself and your dive buddies. Not only will you learn to identify stress and prevent accidents, but we’ll also teach you practical techniques for performing rescues and providing assistance in emergency situations. By combining practical sessions in the pool and in open water, this program thoroughly prepares you to handle emergency and rescue situations with confidence. Upon completion, you’ll earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.

The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your fellow divers and become a diving ambassador by completing the Divemaster program. All you need to get started are 40 verified/logged dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility, or at least 5 logged/verified dives of experience in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. You’ll receive the Dive Guide certification upon successful completion of the Divemaster program.When you’re ready to turn your passion into a career by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors, or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is to advance to Divemaster with a minimum of 60 logged/verified dives. You don’t need any prior experience or to know how to swim, because you’ll be accompanied at all times by a professional instructor who will guide you step by step so you feel safe and comfortable from the very beginning.We’ll sail for about 10 minutes to an underwater park, where we’ll do the dive. Once there, we’ll have a briefing where we’ll explain how to breathe, how to communicate underwater, and how the equipment works, so you can easily understand everything and enter the water with confidence. At first, you might feel a little nervous because everything is new… but as soon as you take your first breath underwater and begin to descend, the sensation changes completely. Suddenly, you’re floating in silence, seeing fish, starfish, sea urchins, and seaweed, and discovering a totally different world—peaceful and full of life.The activity is personalized: you’ll dive accompanied by your instructor throughout the entire experience, so you’re never alone. We work with small groups and use modern, high-quality equipment to ensure you feel comfortable and safe at all times.
