Sidemount Diver
Duration: 2 to 3 days
Take your diving to a new level with the Sidemount Diver course, one of the most comfortable, efficient and versatile configurations available today. Designed for divers looking to improve their performance, comfort and safety underwater, this program will allow you to discover the advantages of diving with the cylinders mounted on the sides of the body, achieving a more hydrodynamic position and better control during each dive.
During the course you will learn how to correctly select, configure and adjust your sidemount system, including harness, wings and cylinders, to suit your personal needs and characteristics. Through practical sessions and personalized training, you will develop the necessary skills to use this configuration safely and efficiently.
You will work on perfecting your buoyancy, trim and propulsion techniques, fundamental elements to achieve greater stability and control underwater. In addition, you will learn specific procedures for gas management, regulator exchange and troubleshooting, utilizing the redundancy that characterizes the sidemount system and makes it one of the safest configurations for advanced recreational diving.
The sidemount configuration not only offers greater comfort in and out of the water, but also makes it easier to carry equipment, reduces physical exertion and provides greater flexibility during the dive. For these reasons, it has become a favorite for both recreational divers and those who wish to continue on to technical or cave diving.
