Bring your cylinders to Honolulu Scuba Company for a visual inspection (VIP) or hydrostatic testing. Drop off your cylinders anytime during our business hours:Monday–Saturday: 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.Sunday: 6:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.Our services are not limited to scuba cylinders. We also accept compatible tanks used for paintball, airsoft, and other activities, including carbon-fiber cylinders. Whether your tank is heading underwater or onto the playing field, our team can help with your inspection and testing needs.Adapters may be required depending on the cylinder and valve type. Please contact the shop with any questions about cylinder compatibility or adapter requirements before dropping off your equipment.

Begin your lifelong underwater adventures with Honolulu Scuba Company, an SSI Training Center. This globally recognized certification program combines personalized instruction with in-water practice to help you develop the skills, experience, and confidence to become comfortable underwater. No previous scuba diving experience is required.Your journey begins with SSI digital learning, introducing you to scuba equipment, underwater communication, and safe diving practices. Next, work with your instructor in confined water to practice essential skills, including breathing underwater, clearing your mask, and controlling your buoyancy.Your open-water training dives take place from shore, where you will put your new skills into practice under your instructor’s supervision. Explore the underwater environment while learning to manage your equipment, communicate with your buddy, and maintain comfortable, controlled movement through the water. Your instructor will guide you through each stage, helping you build confidence and develop safe diving habits.The course typically takes two to three days, depending on student progress and scheduling, and rental scuba equipment is included. Upon successful completion of all required academics, water skills, and training dives, you will earn your SSI Open Water Diver certification, opening the door to future diving adventures.Certification requires successful completion of all SSI course requirements. Boat dives enhance the experience but are not required to earn your certification.The course typically takes two to three days, depending on student progress and scheduling, and rental scuba equipment is included. Discover Oʻahu’s west coast with Honolulu Scuba Company on two guided boat dives at depths of 40 to 60 feet. Explore coral reefs, volcanic rock formations, and lava-tube features while watching for tropical fish, Hawaiian green sea turtles, moray eels, and well-camouflaged octopuses. From the activity around the coral to marine life tucked beneath rocky ledges, there is always a reason to slow down and look a little closer.Follow your guide around the reef and discover the natural openings and volcanic formations that give this underwater landscape its distinctive character. Enjoy opportunities for underwater photography, wildlife observation, and exploring the contrast between open reef and dramatic lava-rock scenery.Before each dive, your guide will provide a briefing covering the site, planned route, expected depth, and safety procedures. Between dives, relax aboard the boat, enjoy the west-coast views, and share your favorite sightings while preparing for your next underwater adventure. Water and a light snack will be provided.Dive sites and routes depend on ocean conditions and the group’s experience. Marine-life sightings and lava-tube entry are not guaranteed. Any swim-throughs must be appropriate for conditions and divers’ training and experience.

Join Honolulu Scuba Company for a three-day charter adventure featuring eight total wreck dives along Oʻahu’s west and south coasts. This wreck-focused experience gives you time to explore sunken vessels, discover their distinctive features, and observe the marine life that now calls them home.Potential dive sites include popular wrecks such as the Sea Tiger, YO, San Pedro, Mahi, Deep LCU, and Navy Tug. Explore exterior structures, follow the contours of submerged decks and hulls, and look for marine life sheltering around these underwater landmarks. Each wreck offers a different setting, with opportunities for photography and a closer look at how the ocean has transformed these vessels.Getting started is simple: sign your waiver, then head straight to the boat to set up your gear. Before each dive, your guide will review the site, planned route, and safety procedures so you know what to expect underwater.Whether you enjoy photographing wrecks, discovering their details, or watching the activity surrounding them, Wreckspedition brings together three days of exploration with fellow wreck-diving enthusiasts.Certification requirements apply.
