The SSI Equipment Techniques Specialty is the best course to learn all about the selection, maintenance and correct storage of your diving equipment. Working with an experienced and trained SSI Professional, you will learn detailed information about the components of your Total Diving System and develop a basic understanding of your diving equipment. Through preventive maintenance of your equipment, you will get the maximum performance and longevity out of your diving equipment.

The Nitrox Specialty Course offers every diver the benefits of increased no-decompression time, diving safety, and physical energy! In this course, you will learn to dive with Nitrox, an oxygen-enriched air mixture. Increasing the oxygen content in compressed air reduces the nitrogen content, thereby lowering the risk of DCS, decompression sickness, and physical exhaustion after diving.

An ITC will take place on these dates. Please note that additional sessions will be held beforehand and that an active Assistant Instructor certification is a prerequisite for enrollment!

Using online learning, confined and open water dives, the SSI Scuba Diver program is a perfect foundation to become a confident and safe diver. You will learn all you need to scuba dive in open water up to 12 meters deep with an SSI Professional. In this program, you will complete almost half of the Open Water Diver course training and can upgrade your certification easily. You just need to complete the remaining academic and confined water sessions, plus two open water training dives.

In 2026 we will again be regularly visiting the Nuttlar slate mine (Sauerland) for cave diving and cavern tasting. The dives in the Nuttlar slate mine are a short journey back in time and an absolutely exciting experience. On our excursions, you can test whether cave diving is something for you as part of a cavern taster dive. You dive in the cavern area, where you can surface safely at any time. As a rule, you'll forget that there's no rock ceiling above you as soon as you dive down ;) and you'll get that real cave feeling. A fascinating experience! We look forward to welcoming you to the Nuttlar mine!

In November/December 2026 we will be traveling to beautiful Mexico. The tour is organized by T.U.R. Tauchreisen weltweit - the travel specialist of the diving association IAC International Aquanautic Club! We will not only dive in the beautiful sea, but also in the legendary cenotes! The tour is suitable for recreational divers and is accompanied by our BlueMarlin diving instructors Peter and Stefan.
