Open Water Diver

This is the ideal course to prepare you for your first diving vacation or liveaboard. Also for experienced divers who have had a longer break from diving or who want to go on a liveaboard for the first time. Among other things, we discuss checking in at the diving center, customs, forms and give tips on the respective diving destination. During the pool unit, we not only practise the various entry and exit techniques, we also train the basic skills and prepare you for the obligatory check dive. Another focus is the setting of the current buoy and procedures for dives from a dinghy, as is common on safaris. Most of the most beautiful reefs are far out in the sea and are inaccessible to divers from the coast. There are also diving areas where it is not possible to dive from land and only boat dives are offered. There are diving centers, charter companies and private owners all over the world who can take you on their boat to these places with particularly clear water and spectacular underwater landscapes. We prepare you specifically for boat dives so that you feel comfortable on board and fun and enjoyment are guaranteed. ATTENTION: registration by telephone or in person is required.

Not only will you protect the environment from accidental damage, but you are guaranteed to be a better diver after this course. Almost all diving skills are built on good buoyancy control. On our training course, you will not only learn different techniques, the training is also really fun. We also optimize the amount of weight you need and improve your water position. At the end, you will have taken a big step towards becoming a perfect diver. At the end, you will receive the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. Well-balanced, you will soon be gliding calmly through the water, taking the underwater photos you've always dreamed of or simply enjoying the weightlessness. We will train you in all safety-related basic skills and bring you up to date, dividing you into small groups according to your level of experience so that everyone can train according to their level of ability. An SSI Scuba Skills Update will bring you up to speed in no time at all. In the refresher course, you repeat and practise the diving skills from your Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI professional. A Scuba Skills Update is not only a relaxed way of refreshing your diving skills, but often also a prerequisite for resuming diving training after a break or preparing yourself confidently for a check dive on vacation. Who hasn't been annoyed when the dive computer orders us to go "up" when the octopus is just leaving its cave or the huge school of barracudas is swimming around the drop-off? In the Maldives in particular, some interesting thilas (reefs) only start at 20 m and leave conventional compressed air divers little time to fully enjoy the dive. It is often necessary to surface at just under 100 bar because the no-decompression time is coming to an end. In the Red Sea, many top spots with sights of unparalleled beauty unfortunately only attract divers below the "eternal" no-decompression limits. Even "Mediterranean divers" know a thing or two about it, when the wreck lies so wonderfully in the light right now or the gorgonian fields stretch out almost endlessly in front of you, but the dream is abruptly interrupted by the beeping of the computer. To avoid all this, simply replace your compressed air cylinder with the appropriate nitrox mixture. The prerequisite for this is, of course, an internationally recognized nitrox specialty. With the EAN (Enriched Air Nitrox) Specialty Diver certification, you are authorized to dive internationally with up to 40% nitrox. In addition to the safety regulations and guidelines, the course also includes many practical parts, such as determining and measuring the nitrox content, filling out the nitrox book and marking the nitrox cylinder. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty course is the best course to learn how to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, avoid accidents and apply practical techniques for performing rescues and emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well and safely prepared to deal with emergency and rescue situations. After completing the course, you will receive the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Specialty certification.
