• Be at least 10 years old
  * If you are between 10 and 14 years old, you are awarded the Junior Open Water Diver certification.
• Ability to swim and float unassisted in the ocean
• Complete the Medical Statement and/or hold a medical certificate

If you have always wanted to discover what happens underneath the waves, then this is the course for you. The Open Water Diver certification is the most popular and widely recognized scuba diving certification in the world.

You will need 4 half-days of training with an instructor and your course will be divided into two parts: the dives and the theory.

During this course, you will have 9 dives in total during which we will teach you the fundamental scuba skills. You will begin your course by getting comfortable with assembling dive equipment and practicing skills in a confined water environment. After you have mastered the skills in confined water, it will be time to take your skills to the ocean and discover this amazing new underwater world!

With your new certification, you will now be allowed to explore the seabed at a maximum depth of 18 meters (12 meters for Junior Open Water Divers) and start your scuba diving journey.

You will need to complete the theory part and we will provide you with an online manual. We advise you to start studying the theory at home before you arrive on the island: this will help you save time during your holiday and allow you to have more fun diving whilst you are here.
