Open Water Instructor (Instructor Training Course ITC)

This certification is recognized worldwide and is the best way to become a qualified diver on an adventure that will last a lifetime. The combination of personalized instruction and practical training sessions ensures that you gain the skills and experience of a confident, safe diver. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

The crossover (onboarding to SSI) begins with participation in the combination Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course, accompanied by Digital Learning. After successfully completing the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will participate in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day training entitles you to independently teach various SSI key programs such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. If you want to take more time to learn and gain valuable teaching experience between the training courses, you can also complete the 3 parts in individual steps - Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course (ITC) and Instructor Evaluation (IE) one after the other at your own pace and with a flexible schedule.

On Wednesday our "After Work Dive" will take place at Lake Neufeld. Fun is already guaranteed and afterwards there will be a cozy get-together while writing the logbook. Meeting point: 17:00 at Lake Neufeld Pre-registration is absolutely necessary by mail, FB or under 02622 72040! Please also reserve the required rental equipment in advance so that we can take it with us on the lake! We are looking forward to many participants!

Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! With the course you will expand your diving knowledge to plan safe dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. After completing the course, you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

If you can't decide which specialty programs are best for you, join the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program! You'll try Deep Diving and Navigation, Buoyancy Control, Computer Diving and UW Photo & Video before deciding on a full specialty training. It's a great way to experience what Advanced Open Water Diver training is all about and how valuable it can be for your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program you will learn about 5 different specialties by completing one open water training dive per specialty after a detailed briefing with your SSI Instructor. This program gives you complete freedom to explore everything. You can complete the entire specialty training at any time and receive credit for your Advanced Open Water Diver training.

The SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty course is the best way to improve your buoyancy and experience perfect dives. Buoyancy control is one of the most important diving skills, but as any experienced diver will tell you, it takes time to perfect. In this course, you will learn advanced buoyancy skills and techniques to help you master your buoyancy faster. By improving your water position and optimizing your buoyancy control, you can reduce your air consumption and increase your bottom times. In this fascinating course you will also learn new skills to protect the underwater world, which can always be used. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. Well-balanced, you will soon be gliding calmly through the water, taking the underwater photos you've always dreamed of or simply enjoying the weightlessness.

Becoming a certified SSI Dry Suit Diving Instructor is easy. Train as an instructor and register for the SSI Dry Suit Diving Instructor Seminar - alternatively you can co-teach with an experienced specialty instructor to achieve the qualification. If you teach enough specialties, you will automatically qualify for your Advanced Open Water Instructor certification.

Night Diving & Limited VisibilityNight dives require skills that are very different from those needed for daytime dives. The SSI Night Diving & Limited Visibility Specialty Course is the best way to learn everything about night diving and practice the necessary techniques that will make you a safe and confident night diver. This course will provide you with all the knowledge and skills needed to dive safely and comfortably at night or in conditions of limited visibility. Through a balanced mix of online learning and open-water dives, you’ll learn how to use specialized equipment, the correct entry and exit techniques, and how to communicate with your dive buddy at night and in conditions of limited visibility. As a dry suit diver you can dive warm and comfortable in cold waters all year round. Only dry suit diving opens up the special underwater landscapes of cold water to you: dives on the icebergs in the remote Arctic or fascinating places teeming with life despite the cold. Dry suits are also great if you dive several times a day. Instead of struggling to get out of the cold, wet wetsuit each time, the dry suit diver simply leaves his suit on. The best way to dry suit dive is the SSI Dry Suit Diver Specialty course. Here you will gain the necessary knowledge and learn all the skills to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. This includes how to use the special equipment and how to deal with difficult situations and problems with the dry suit. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certification.

This specialty course provides you with the knowledge and advanced skills you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn the correct use of the compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distances, leaving and returning to a given point and simple navigation patterns.
