Open Water Instructor (Instructor Training Course ITC)

To join the SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) you must have a Divemaster certificate or equivalent qualification. This comprehensive course is part of SSI's two-stage approach to instructor training. It starts with the Instructor Training Course, supplemented by digital training. Upon successful completion of the ITC, you will then complete the Instructor Evaluation (IE) to become an SSI Open Water Instructor. As a certified instructor, you will be able to independently teach key SSI courses such as Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. Need more time or want to gain hands-on experience before becoming a full instructor? You can take the Assistant Instructor course as a separate stage. This will allow you to assist on real student courses, gain valuable teaching experience, and then complete the Instructor Evaluation at your own pace.
