The SSI Decompression Diving specialization will teach you to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression, using your recreational Full Dive System and one decompression cylinder. You will learn and practice how to effectively use dive computer functions, including gas switching, gas integration, time to reserve and time to ascent. Using these computer functions will become second nature, allowing you to safely conduct limited decompression dives without hours of dive planning. Upon completion, you will be certified in SSI Decompression Diving and will be able to explore stunning deep dive sites or larger wrecks without being limited by traditional no-decompression limits. In this specialization, you will gain the advanced skills and knowledge needed to navigate underwater safely and confidently. You'll learn how to use a diving compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distance, how to swim away and return to a designated spot, and basic navigation patterns. You will also learn how to combine navigation techniques to enhance your enjoyment of your diving experience. This will improve your ability to observe effectively underwater, increase the safety of your dives and allow you to fully enjoy your dives. Upon completion of the course, you will receive an SSI Navigation specialty certificate.

Night diving requires different skills than day diving. The SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialization is the best way to learn about night diving and the techniques needed for a safe and confident diver during night dives. In this course, you will become familiar with the knowledge and skills needed to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. Through a combination of online theory and open water dives, you will learn how to safely enter and exit the water, how to use specialized equipment and how to effectively communicate with your partner at night or in conditions of limited visibility. Upon completion of the course, you'll receive your SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty certification and be ready for night dives with confidence in your skills.

This course is a one-day specialization during which you will make two dives and learn about all the necessary aspects of safely planning and executing dives using such a device. Diving with a scooter already requires some flotation because some shortcomings in buoyancy or balance when using a scooter simply come faster. During the course you will learn to assemble and disassemble the scooter, plan the dive (gas and battery limitations) and you will also learn operational and emergency techniques such as depositing the scooter, towing, reactions in case of agitation of the deposited scooter or lack of gas when using the scooter. Diving with a scooter requires the use of a wing with standard D-rings on the crotch strap - we will help you configure everything accordingly.

The SSI Deep Diving specialization will teach you everything you need to know to dive in the 18-40 meter range through a combination of theory classes and open water dives. You will learn how to plan and safely fulfill your deep diving dreams. You'll learn how to use your dive computer effectively and learn the calculations involved in gas consumption to enjoy deep dives to the fullest. Upon completion of the SSI Deep Diving Specialization, you will be certified and will be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites around the world. This SSI Specialization is also required before other more advanced courses, so it is a natural step in your diving development.

Dry suit diving opens up a myriad of possibilities, including diving in the desolate waters of the Arctic or exploring vibrant dive sites in cold waters. Using such a suit will keep you thermally comfortable while making multiple dives in a series and free you from putting on a wet suit several times a day. The SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty is the best way to get started in dry suit diving and will allow you to possess all the knowledge and techniques needed to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. You will learn how to use specialized equipment such as dry suits and jackets, the advantages of using dry suits and how to deal with emergency situations specific to this type of diving. Upon completion of the course, you will receive your SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty certificate.
