This course is based on the use of trimix as a breathing gas and is designed to reduce the likelihood of inert gas narcosis and increase diving safety. An "air" option in the course is available for those areas where helium is not available. You will learn the techniques and procedures for using trimix and nitrox mixtures with up to 100% oxygen for accelerated decompression.

The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course teaches you how to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single tank.
