If you cannot decide which specialty programs are the best choice for you, join the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program! You will try Deep Diving and Navigation plus a variety of 3 more specialty areas of choice before committing to full specialty training. It is a great way to experience what advanced diver training is all about and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver Program, you will experience 5 different specialties by completing one open water training dive per specialty after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI Instructor. By taking this program you will have total freedom to explore. You can complete the full Specialty trainings any time in the future and credit your Advanced Open Water Diver training towards them.

Our team like to celebrate our Course Graduates, so we get together on the first Friday night of each month to present Course Certificates to our graduates and a to offer them a huge congratulations from the Aquatic Adventures Dive Club! Whether they have just completed their first course and started their dive journey, or ticked the next Specialty course off the to-do list, the club would love to celebrate together, so join us for snacks (bringing a plate is always appreciated), some drinks and plenty of high fives. A great chance to learn more about courses that may interest you, this is also the perfect opportunity for you to meet some new dive buddies to explore the underwater world with, so we hope to see you there!

Come and do your bit for the ocean! Join us in our projects to try and restore our marine areas & reefs to their former glory! We'll supply guidance, and equipment (where applicable), you supply the people power. Activities may include monitoring, invasive/marine debris removal, maintenance, or out-planting, depending on conditions & requirements. Splash time: 9:30. This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.Learning to dive with the SSI Open Water Diver course is a 3-stage process:THEORY - You begin your journey with SSI's online learning, which you complete at home. You will then review it together with your Instructor & classmates at the first session of your course.POOL TRAINING - You begin learning the basic techniques of Scuba Diving in a swimming pool. Your Instructor will ensure you are comfortable before you move out into the ocean.OPEN WATER TRAINING - Open Water training dives are where you put the skills you learned into practice in the "real world" and are able to discover the excitement and enjoyment of exploring the underwater world. You will complete 4 dives in the ocean to earn your Open Water Diver certification.

Following reports of Northern Pacific Seastars and European Fan Worms sighted near the Mentone Lifesaving Club, Aquaholics are organising a group to go down and join our friends from Earthcare St Kilda and the Mentone Lifesaving Club to tidy up and manage these invasive species. Join the Aquaholics for a survey dive at Mordialloc. What will we be surveying? We will be returning to the section of reef that we out-planted with Golden Kelp (Eklonia Radiata) back in April. We are hoping to find our seedlings thriving out there and we will assess whether we need to introduce more kelp to continue restoring this reef to it's former glory and to create more habitat for flora and fauna.
