This course is ideal for reducing surface intervals and making the most out of your diving days — especially when going o a dive trip! You’ll learn how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen, giving you more time to explore the underwater world. The Assistant Instructor rating is the next step after becoming a Divemaster along the scuba instructor pathway. It allows you to collect valuable teaching experience, practice briefings, teach academics, and conduct in-water training. If you want to further your career as a dive professional, you can finish the Instructor Training Course, pass the Instructor Evaluation, and become an Open Water Diving Instructor. Classes begin on the first of each month, and the schedule is set based on the needs of both the student and the instructor. Classes traditionally occur twice a week for 4-6 weeks, and occur in the pool and/or classroom at Woodlands Dive Center. Call us for more information.
