China Wall & Cherubs Cave Dive Trip

China Wall & Cherubs Cave Dive Trip

China Wall Get ready for one of Brisbane’s most unique and mind-blowing dive sites! Sitting on the exposed eastern side of Moreton Island, China Wall flips the script with a reef covered in golden waving kelp instead of coral — the kind you’d expect way down south, not dancing alongside tropical fish! The rocky landscape is bursting with colour thanks to soft corals, gorgonians and elegant black coral trees. With depths ranging from 16 to 32 metres, you’ll discover caves, gutters, towering walls, and even a stunning rock arch just begging for a photo. Among the kelp you can expect schools of reef fish, bullseyes, yellowtail, trevally, kingfish, blue gropers, wobbegongs and turtles cruising by. Winter turns China Wall into something truly magical — calm conditions, grey nurse sharks patrolling the gutters, and the soundtrack of humpback whales singing through the entire dive. If you’re lucky, one of these gentle giants may glide past for an unforgettable moment. Cherub’s Cave Once marked by a small concrete cherub, this hidden underwater playground still delivers an adventure worthy of its legendary name. Cherub’s Cave is a huge circular cavern, about 20 x 15 metres, with six different exits that let you choose your own underwater path. The surrounding area is packed with rocky gullies, secret caves and overhangs waiting to be explored. Pelagic like barracuda, kingfish and trevally sweep through the blue, while turtles, gropers and wobbegongs wander the reef. In winter, grey nurse sharks gather here, turning your dive into an epic encounter you won’t forget. Between dives, relax on board with tasty snacks and refreshing treats during your surface interval. Cementco Wreck and Flinders Dive Trip

Cementco Wreck and Flinders Dive Trip

CEMENTCO WRECK & FLINDERS REEF DIVE ADVENTURE Step back in time and dive into history at the legendary Cementco (Crusader) Wreck, paired with one of South East Queensland’s most spectacular natural dive sites — Flinders Reef. The Cementco Wreck Originally commissioned in 1944 as part of Australia’s Pacific War effort, the Crusader 2 transported heavy equipment and supplies to troops in New Guinea. After a successful military career, she was repurposed by the Queensland Cement & Lime Company, hauling coral and sand through Moreton Bay to Brisbane. In 1984, the Crusader was destined for one final mission — to become an artificial reef at Flinders Reef. But in true maritime fashion, she had the last laugh, springing a leak and sinking 400 metres northeast of Flinders Reef, creating the iconic wreck we explore today. What was once a hardworking vessel is now a thriving underwater playground teeming with marine life. Flinders Reef Often described as one of the best dive sites in Queensland, Flinders Reef offers an explosion of colour and life. Explore dramatic walls, caves, gutters and pinnacles blanketed in over 100 coral species, including staghorn, brain and plate corals, alongside soft corals, gorgonians and sponges. Keep your eyes peeled for 175+ species of reef fish, invertebrates, stingrays, wobbegong sharks, and the occasional manta ray cruising past. A true highlight is the famous turtle cleaning station, where green turtles relax in the shallows while cleaner wrasse and surgeonfish get to work.
