The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course shows you how to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single scuba tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas exchange or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become routine for you so that you can make safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning. This program allows you to learn about different diving topics before deciding on a full specialty program. It's a great way to learn what your Advanced training is all about and how valuable it can be for your diving adventures. In the Advanced Open Water Diver program you have the opportunity to try out five specialties. After a detailed briefing with your SSI instructor, you will complete one open water training dive for each specialty. This gives you the opportunity to discover all specialty programs.
