Japanese Gardens enjoys the protection of Koh Nanguan, which generally makes it a very calm and easy site. The depth ranges from just a couple meters to about 16 meters.
White Rock, also known as White Rock and Black Rock, is located to the south of Nan Yuan Island, adjacent to Koh Tao. The whole site is a fairly large root, so no matter how many dives you do, you will never get bored of it, depending on the course you take, the depth and the type of life you observe. Beginners and seasoned divers alike should enjoy it.
Great site for training dives as there is a big sandy area ranging from 1m to 16m deep. There are two different areas of huge artificial reef concrete cubes good for buoyancy or tech training. An abundant and dense hard coral reef area is on the east side and rocky sloping reef is on the west side.
One of the most famous dive sites on Koh Tao, this site features something for every experience level. Ranging from 5 to 19 meters, Twins is located just off the western side of picturesque Koh Nanguan and is a favorite of students and leisure divers alike.
Gordon reef is most famous for the wreck of the “Loullia” which ran aground on the northern end of the reef in 1981. This dive can be done as either a drift or a mooring dive, mooring on the southern side of the reef.
Tanote Bay is a beautiful dive site on the east coast of Koh Tao. The reef starts right at the shore and reaches over the whole bay. The edge of the reef is at a depth between 8 and 15 meters. Besides the Katamaran Wreck at 18m, Tanote Bay has different artificial reef constructions as well as small caverns!
Drop Off is slope down where on one side is a wall down to a deep water, mostly stay on maximum depth at 30 meters where reef is very nice well covers with soft coral. To dive is here is beach entry, as a diver should always check the SPG how much air left before turn swimming back to exit point.
The main pinnacle of Chumphon Pinnacle comes as shallow as 14 meters and the deepest point of the site goes as deep as 45 meters. Offering great opportunities for divers at Open Water level through to XR level.
Located on South East of the island. This dive site has shallow water that is good for training dives and practice buoyancy. The dive site is sheltered, so you can dive in a calm and stable environment with no waves.
The HTMS Sattakut is a wreck that rests at a max depth of 35m, with the top of the tower at 18m. The wreck is 48 meters in length and lies just south of a neighboring pinnacle dive site, Hin Pee Wee, a favorite destination for safety and deco stops after exploring the wreck.

We start the open water season with our first dive meeting. As always, after the dive there is the opportunity for a cozy get-together and barbecue.
Near the border with Ter Apel (Groningen, Netherlands) lies Dankern. A lake with light blue water and a nice underwater park. Not much life, but the visibility and the nice objects makes up for this.

Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! With the course you will expand your diving knowledge to plan safe dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. This year, as every year, we are carrying out a lake cleaning campaign together with the local clubs and diving schools. Armed with collecting nets, we scour the Dankern lake bathing area and collect all garbage that could be dangerous for bathers. We are happy to welcome any volunteers who would like to lend a hand in, on or under the water.
Night dives require very different skills than daylight dives. The SSI Night Diving & Limited Visibility Specialty course is the best way to learn all about night diving and practice the techniques required to make you a safe and confident night diver. This course will give you all the knowledge and skills to dive safely and relaxed at night or in limited visibility conditions. In a balanced mix of online learning and open water dives, you will learn how to use special equipment, the correct entry and exit techniques and how to communicate with your dive buddy at night and in limited visibility. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty certification and be ready to dive into the dark with confidence.
The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by completing the Divemaster program. All you need is 40 verified dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 verified dives in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. Upon successful completion of the Divemaster program, you will be certified as a Dive Guide. If you want to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching ecology programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster upgrade with at least 60 logged/verified dives. You can upgrade to Divemaster immediately or later by studying the Science of Diving materials yourself and passing the Digital Final Exam, which makes you an SSI Professional. There are thousands of job opportunities worldwide for the next generation of highly qualified divers.
The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty course is the best course to learn how to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, avoid accidents and apply practical techniques for performing rescues and emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well and safely prepared to deal with emergency and rescue situations. After completing the course, you will receive the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Specialty certification.
The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course shows you how to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single scuba tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas exchange or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become routine for you so that you can make safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore stunning deep dive sites or large wrecks without the limitation of no-decompression limits.
