Working with an experienced and trained SSI Professional, you will learn in-depth information about the components of your Total Diving System and develop a thorough understanding of your diving equipment. This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification. Sessions as follows: 1st day 10:00am-12:30pm classroom break for lunch 1:30pm-5pm Confined Water, 2nd day 1:30pm-5pm Confined water, You can become an Open Water referral diver and dive in our pool with a certified diver until it is warmer or we have a CocoView trip 2/27-3/6/27 where you can do your Open Water Dives February 20, 21, 2027 Referral Open Water Diver includes e-learning and confined water so you can complete your Open water dives You can also take your Nitrox e-learning and classroom portion on 2/20 from 10:00am-12:30pm and once you have completed your Open Water Certification we can certify your Nitrox Certification. You will need to purchase Fins, Boots, Mask, Snorkel, Antifog, and DSMB(safety Device) for this class. We will be breaking up classroom/confined water so that you we can give you a referral if you would like to do your open water dives at a destination or on a trip.

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40% certification.

The SSI Perfect Buoyancy specialty is the best way to improve your buoyancy and get the most from every dive. Buoyancy is an essential dive skill, but any diver will tell you it takes time to perfect. The Perfect Buoyancy specialty will teach you advanced buoyancy skills and techniques, so you can master your buoyancy more quickly and enjoy more relaxed dive adventures. In this fascinating program, you will also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in every diving situation. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. With better buoyancy skills, you will soon be able to hover with ease and take the underwater photographs you dream of!

Monthly dive club meeting meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Social gathering from 6:30-7pm and meeting runs from 7pm-8pm. Meetings consists of guest speakers, dive community upcoming events, as well as seminars. Meeting is held at Dante's Pizza, located at 2900 Cedar Lane Colonial Heights, VA 23834 There is never a cost to attend.

Come practice your dive skills in the pool. We have limited space on our pool days for divers to come practice their skills. The number of open spots will be depend on our class sizes. The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving for the first time. The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by taking the Divemaster program. All you need to get started are 40 verified/logged dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives experience in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. You will be certified as a Dive Guide after successfully completing the Divemaster program. When your interest is to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster Upgrade with a minimum of 60 logged/verified. Upgrade to Divemaster right away or any time after by self-studying the Science of Diving materials, passing the Digital Final Exam which makes you an SSI Professional.
