If you can't decide which specialty programs are best for you, join the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program! You will try Deep Diving and Navigation as well as 3 other specialty areas before deciding on a full specialty training. It's a great way to experience what Advanced Open Water Diver training is all about and how valuable it can be for your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program you will learn about 5 different specialties by completing one open water training dive per specialty after a detailed briefing with your SSI Instructor. React Right is SSI’s emergency course for first responders and teaches the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond correctly as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible course, you can choose your topics, such as initial assessment, first aid, CPR, and stabilization techniques. You’ll learn more about administering emergency oxygen and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). Through a combination of theory and practical training scenarios, this course gives you the essential tools and confidence to provide emergency assistance. If you want to make the most of your bottom time and have more fun on your dives, try underwater scooter or diver propulsion vehicle (DPV) diving. In this underwater scooter and DPV course, you will learn the skills and concepts you need to safely plan and conduct dives using scooters or DPVs. You will learn the special precautions needed for using DPVs, how to maintain buddy contact and how to control your equipment, so you can safely enjoy the new dive experiences DPVs provide. Upon completion of this program, you will earn the SSI DPV Diving specialty certification and be able to dive up to 30 meters deep with a scooter or DPV.
