This Dive Site is no longer accessible. The roads leading to it have been blocked by earth by the local mining company and signs have been posted preventing entry.
Besides diving Schladitzer See, there are many activities on the water plus an overnight stay area, restaurant, and beach club. Dive site access is only allowed at the diving center. Please register in advance.
Traunfall dive site is in the reservoir area where depth averages 8m. Visibility can get up to 30m. The shore structure is steep to the bottom and you can see many pikes and an old roman salt road.
The quarry in Wildschütz has a nice shallow water zone for recreational divers, many fish. The deep pump house at about 70m depth only for technical divers. In addition to many artificially sunk attractions, you can still see a lot from the active time of the quarry.
The maximum depth in the southern basin is 26 meters. The Kulki, as divers affectionately call the lake, owes its formation to the mining of lignite. The Kulki is one of the oldest opencast mining lakes in the Leipzig area and by far the most attractive. There are 2 practice platforms available for dive training.
This dive site is an accessible quarry lake, which can be reached easily and safely by stairs. The water consists of three former quarries (“Steinbruchsee,“ “Blauer See,“ and “Tiefer See“).
Beautifully situated lake with remains of the Torpedo Test Facility (TVA). Torpedoes and wrecks are spread all over the lake. The diving club, Tollensee, organizes trips to the different diving sites. Divers should already have some experience for deep diving and diving in darkness and cold water.
There is a dive center on the lake with everything you need for diving. Four nice entrances spread around the lake. Several training platforms at different depths. Four wrecks spread around the lake and a sunken village with houses, church, chapel, and cemetery can be dived through.
A diving sight in the Schorfheide. With its dimensions it offers several possibilities of entry, which are also listed separately.
Easy entry from land within the marked out area (suitable for beginners). There are 2 training platforms (5m and 10m). Registration and briefing about the diving school are required. You will receive a waterproof orientation map.
Near the border with Ter Apel (Groningen, Netherlands) lies Dankern. A lake with light blue water and a nice underwater park. Not much life, but the visibility and the nice objects makes up for this.
There are many entrances for divers at Möwen-See. The lake almost always offers very good visibility. The topography underwater is very mountainous so always dive with a compass. The lake has little vegetation. The lake is about about 45 m deep.
With 3 training levels, 2 tubes (vertical and horizontal), an alternating light system, and a small rocky landscape, the approx. 10 m deep indoor diving tower not only offers the recreational diver a lot of variety, but is also ideal for the diving professional.
In the Baltic Sea lies the wreck of the Docktor. This is a dive at a sunken dry dock which has a length of about 100 m, a height of about 13 m, and a width of about 7 m. The wreck is broken lengthwise and crosswise, so you can also have a look inside.
Beautifully situated base on the beach. Coastal reef to 12 m deep. The topography is fissured with many niches to dive through. The area is surrounded by sand and sea grass meadows.
