Salzgittersee is a beautiful lake with a lot of vegetation and many fish. No entrance fee and no parking fees. For diving you have to walk from the parking lot. At the dive site there is a platform for exercises. The lake is up to 16 m deep in some places.
The lake is beautifully guarded, in summer there are many fish of all kinds. Also, many mussels and crabs are in the lake.
