XR CAVE DIVING (Intro to Cave Diver) - Duration: 3 days
The Intro to Cave Diver course marks the transition between cavern diving and real cave diving. During these three days of training you will develop the skills, knowledge and discipline necessary to perform cave penetrations in a safe, controlled manner and under standardized procedures.
Throughout the course you will learn to perform in a ceiling environment where direct access to the surface is not possible, strengthening your navigation, situational awareness and problem solving skills. You will refine your use of the guideline as a primary reference, improve your buoyancy control, trim and propulsion techniques, and develop greater efficiency in your equipment management and gas consumption.
Training includes extensive practice of safety protocols, emergency procedures and self-rescue techniques. You will learn to identify, prevent and manage potentially critical situations, always maintaining control and prioritizing a safe exit from the cave. You will also work on teamwork procedures, communication, gas sharing and response to contingencies that may arise during a dive.
In addition, you will learn to plan cave dives in a detailed and systematic way, considering fundamental aspects such as gas management, depth, penetration distance, navigation, equipment configuration, environmental conditions and emergency procedures. The objective is to develop the ability to perform safe and efficient dives while minimizing the risks inherent in the environment.
Upon completion of the course, the student will have a solid technical and operational foundation for further advancement in cave diving training.
Course includes:
- Cenotes entrances used during training.
- Official certification upon successful completion of course requirements.
- Basic transportation hotel-cenote-hotel and dive center.
- Drinks and hydration during training days.
- Snack during course days.
- All equipment required for the course, including the necessary training setup, for those students who do not have their own equipment.
Training designed to develop safe, competent cave divers prepared to meet the challenges of one of diving's most demanding environments.
