Located practically in front of, and less than two miles from, the port of Llafranc, you will find three fantastic underwater mountains called Els Ullastres.
At a distance of approx. 12 minutes northeast navigation, you will find one of the most beautiful underwater profiles off this coast. Beautiful canyons with steep walls full of forests of gorgonians can be admired here from beginners to experienced divers. A torch is recommended.
After a 35 minute boat ride we reach the site Furio Fito. A plateau with an impressively beautiful steep wall overgrown with sea fans. An additional free-standing rock needle is located to the east near the reef. From time to time we come across a stronger current, so it is only suitable for experienced divers.
The reef Montiell, protected from currents and waves, is only a 7-minute navigation from the dive center. The coffee bean-shaped rock, which is surrounded by sand, has a maximum depth of 24 meters and is particularly easy to navigate due to its topography. A torch is recommended.
Outside Palamos, oriented to west we find Boreas, a 40 meter ship lying on it’s port side. It’s at a depth between 20 and 35 meters on top of a sandy bottom.
10 minutes north-east of Tamariu we find the rock of Aigua Xelida. On the Mooring line you can already reach the reef in 8 meters. The highlight at this place is a small cave at 12 meters near the anchorage, big enough to dive through as a buddy team. A lamp is recommended here.
