The well of the Ekeren or Muisbroek domain is an excellent place to conduct training dives. The visibility is usually quite good and there is no current to consider.
Barrage l’Eau d’Heures is a varied dive site, located in the largest water area in Belgium. The lake is easily accessible and offers a unique underwater biotope in addition to a large number of underwater objects. Barrage is definitely worth a dive.
TODI, The Ultimate Diving Experience, is a gigantic indoor diving pool 10 meters deep and 36 meters in diameter, with more than 6,200,000 liters of water and a consistent temperature of 23°.
The sandstone quarry La Gombe is located near the river “The Ourthe,“ not far from the picturesque Esneux and is counted among the most beautiful quarries in Belgium.
The provincial recreation area Zilvermeer, located in the territory of the municipality of Mol, is a beautiful piece of nature in the heart of the Kempen. Various lakes were created after sand extraction for the then glass industry.
The Nekker, a 65-hectare rec center, features a pond, partly natural and protected, partly from E-19 construction sand extraction. The 30-hectare diving pond doubles as a swimming, surfing, and fishing spot, with a spacious beach. Adjacent facilities include classrooms, changing rooms, and a bar.
The Villers-Deux-Eglises quarry is a former iron ore and red marble extraction quarry. In the second half of the 16th century, it supplied marble for the decoration of abbeys in the Aisne, Oise and Mons.
Nemo 33 has long been the deepest swimming pool in the world. This indoor center is not only famous for its maximum depth of 33 meters, but also for the very pleasant water temperature of 33 degrees Celsius.
This is a nice versatile spot. There are numerous objects at the bottom, such as a bus, bicycle and airplane, and the excavation is varied. The walls are also worth examining. Here you can find a lot of life.
The quarry offers a wide range of diving opportunities, with depths varying between 24 and 30 metres depending on the water level. The large infrastructure and the numerous services available allow the organisation of comfortable diving trips all year round.
It is 280 metres long and 80 metres wide, covering a little more than 2 hectares, with a maximum depth of 13 to 16 metres, depending on variations in the water table, and an average depth of 8 to 13 metres.
