The sandstone quarry La Gombe is located near the river “The Ourthe,“ not far from the picturesque Esneux and is counted among the most beautiful quarries in Belgium.
The most striking residents are large sturgeons that slide slowly over the bottom. Furthermore, carp, river bass, koi carp, roach, barbel, freshwater sponge and algae live here.
