This program prepares you to teach the four different swimming styles to students coming out of Level 1. You will learn to place matched students in small classes and work with them to learn and perfect swimming styles at their own pace. After successful participation you will receive the SSI Swim Teacher Level 2 certification.

This program provides candidates with the knowledge and skills they need to prepare students, ages 3 and up, to learn various swimming styles. An important part of the Level I program is to teach swimming classes how to behave safely in and around the water. For example, breathing control, climbing out of the pool and floating on the water are practiced. The exhibition acts as a journey through time and is designed so that all stations can be explored on your own. We also want to offer guided tours in the future to bring this topic even closer to our visitors. Pictures, videos and many interactive games are designed to introduce both adults and children to this issue with all their senses. Our aim is not to admonish with a raised index finger, but rather to address and move each individual visitor. Various stations and projects show visitors that they themselves, as part of the big picture, can initiate the urgently needed change through small steps. Together, we bring the ocean into our hearts and give each individual the opportunity to participate in a great movement that will save the oceans and their inhabitants. The sea! Mystical, exciting, beautiful! Around two thirds of the earth's surface is covered by the sea. Logically, the sea is therefore an enormously important space for humans. It serves as a habitat, as a transportation and trade route, as a source of food or simply as a place for recreation and sport. And although the world's oceans play such an important role in human history, only around 5% of them have been explored. At the same time, the part that is already known is being excessively used and exploited to supply people all over the world with marine products, often at the expense of ecosystems and marine organisms! If that were not enough, the sea also serves directly and indirectly as a garbage can and catch basin for all kinds of pollutants. Whether heavy metals, crude oil, microplastics or any kind of waste - all of these can now be found in the world's oceans. It is clear that the sea needs our help! This exhibition deals with the topics of marine use and marine pollution in a very vivid way!

2 times a year, the 1st Vienna Fishing Museum organizes a cleaning of the Marchfeld Canal on the stretch from the Langenzersdorf area of influence to the Gerasdorf border. Afterwards, food and drink are provided as a small thank you!
