Neufelder See Südrunde

Going south past the platform at 10m, you can dive for a long time at a depth 15 - 20m over several ridges. Under the shore in the west there is a smaller steep wall with small caves. Above an overgrown edge at about 6m, you can follow, along your left shoulder, back to the entrance.

Between the shore and overgrown edge, there are often large carp (mirror, grass, and scales) and also pikes under the wall. Sometimes you can also see catfish.

In this course, you’ll learn the skills and procedures needed to safely plan and conduct such dives. You’ll learn the specific precautions for using dive scooters/DPVs, how to maintain contact with your dive buddy, monitor your other equipment, and safely enjoy this new diving experience with the DPV! Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive the SSI Scooter/DPV Diving Specialty certification and will be able to dive to depths of up to 30 meters using a dive scooter/DPV.

In front of the area of Tauch-Sport-Vienna and the shore the bottom is slightly sloping, which leads to a platform at 5m (heading east) and to a Neptune figure and a 2m-long shark made of plastic at about 7m. From the platform at 5m lines lead to a platform at 10m (heading south) and 20m (heading east).

The artificial lake (lignite was mined here) near Vienna offers many training opportunities for beginners and advanced divers, especially at the TB Lorenc entrance; currently 2 5, 2 8, 12 and 20 meter platforms, 2 buoyancy tubes and many new sights sunk by dedicated divers.

About 16-18 min north, 30-50m from shore, you will reach a steep wall that drops down to about 20m. Above it, at a depth of 5m, there is an extensive “seagrass meadow“ (sago pondweed), bordered in the west by the rising shore, which you can follow on your right, back to the entrance.

Dive site Neufeldsee Strandbad. Located at the southern end of the Neufeldsee. Access from the parking lot about 100m. Two jetties are available. There is a platform at 5m deep. The shore area is shallow, then steeply slopes down to >8m. WC facilities are open in the winter.
