You have the option of diving along the reef, walking through the seagrass meadow, or even both.Easy entry from the beach.Beautiful coral blocks and lettuce corals. Mares Mashraba (★4.5) A sandy bottom, followed by seagrass, then an artificial underwater museum and finally a wall drop-off. This dive site offers it all, very popular with underwater photography enthusiasts and accessible for beginners and advanced divers alike. Mares The Alternatives (★4.3) This is a very interesting dive site, different pinnacles are lined up over a drop-off. The first of these pinnacles is called “Stingray Station.“ This dive is suitable for every level of diver and also snorkelers. SSI Service Center Egypt, Hurghada Marsa Abu Dabab (★4.4) Abu Dabab North is a significant dive site located in the Marsa Alam zone with very easy access from the shore. This site is suitable for all diver levels and snorkelers as well. It can be easily accessed from boat and shore (boats can only access the site from outside the bay). Morecambe Area Divers Ltd, LA3 3PB Morecambe Moray Garden (★4.5) Located to the South of Dahab, this site can be classified as a confined area as well as open water. Walk-in off the beach. The site gently descends to 6m before sloping down to 30 meters. Extra Divers Dahab, South Sinai Dahab Islands (★4.7) 5min drive from the dive center. Entrance via reef top, therefore only diveable at high tide and little wind. Two reefs reaching just below the surface (Islands) border a shallow, labyrinthine hard coral garden. One of the most beautiful dive sites in Dahab. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Red Point (★4.1) Red point is situated at the southernmost tip of Curieuse island within the curieuse marine park. it is approximately a 10mins boat ride from the dive centre depending on the weather conditions. The dive site consists of big gigantic boulders submerged underwater and also some can be seen out of the water. 10-20m ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Marsa Abu Galawa (★4.3) 1 hour south of El Gouna is Marsa Abu Galawa. It is a nice bay with a drop off full of beautiful hard corals. In the bay you find nice coral blocks and inside there is a shallow sea gras area. Eduardo M. (#3068167) Ras Abu Soma (★4.4) The Somabay headland forms the northern end of Safaga Bay. The “Ras“ (head), is a steep wall that ends in the south on a 25m deep plateau, main current direction is coming from the north. On the plateau you can find ancient table corals up to 4m in size, and a steep wall. SCUBA NOSY BE, 207 HELL VILLE Caida Wreck (★4.4) Originally, it is a dhow filled with a cargo of sand that sank in 2004, having dived on it 6 months later, we realized that the wreck was already filled with fish, so we sank 2 other wrecks around it. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Dolphin House (★4.4) Dolphin House (Gota Shaab el Erg) lies to the west of the main reef, Shaab El Erg. Here the reef forms a channel into the open sea where the dolphins often like to swim in and out. Be aware, the channel can cause a moderate current. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Marsa Baryka (★4.4) This dive site sits in the bay of Mersa Bareika and is scattered with colorful coral heads that stretch all around the area and flourish with high and low tide, giving a diverse array of marine life. (#2837383) Ras Torombi (★4.1) At the entry point, there are several coral blocks ranging from 8 to 15 meters in depth, reaching almost to the surface.A beautiful coral garden with soft and hard corals. DiveTime Zanzibar, 73107 Zanzibar Anemona City (★4.3) Anemona City is only a 10-minute boat ride from Kizimkazi. The boat anchors are near a plateau about 4-5 meters deep. Swimming over the plateau we can already see many corals, small and large with abundant underwater life. We soon reach a slope where we go from 7 meters to a maximum of 15-17 meters. Mares HauntedWall / Ras Misikitini (★4.2) Small walls from 5 metres to 18 metres where you can find hard and soft coral. This site is unique for the small wall and offers great visibility and nice temperatures. Aqualung Hunga (★4.1) This dive site is in the middle of the ocean and is a drift dive. You will find some pinnacle with sponges and hard coral. It is a tidal dive so make sure you make this dive when it is low tide. Peter S. (#417559) Daedalus Reef (★4.3) Deadalus Reef can only be reached by Liveaboard boats and is one of the top dive sites on most diver’s wish list. A stand alone 400m long reef approx. 80km away from Marsa Alam, this spectacular reef is difficult to miss as it even has its own lighthouse. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Coral Garden (★4.3) Coral Garden is situated 5-10 minutes away by boat from Praslin. A reef type of dive surrounded by soft and hard corals. Depth is around 10-15 meters. Mares Criminal Rock (★4.3) Located north east of Praslin island this site is approximately 25-35 mins by boat depending on the weather conditions. The site consists of submerged granitic rocks. dive site depth ranging between 15-25 metres. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Jackfish Alley (★4.5) A comparatively shallow site that is good for a second or third dive, Jackfish Alley has two enormous caves filled with shoaling glassfish. Depth: 6m to 20m. Rating: intermediate. Access: boat. Marcus M. (#2724513) Marsa Assalaya (★4.3) Well protected bay with entry from the beach, both sides of the bay with a beautiful and colorful reef. In the middle of the bay, there is a big area with seagrass. Mares Small Wall, Mnenba Island (★4.4) Small Wall is a huge coral reef that starts at the surface and reaches to 50 meters of depth. It is a great spot for all levels of divers, from OWD to the XR addict! Around 30 meters there is a second drop off where colorful corals and gorgonians create a very captivating environment. The Divers Universe, 00000 Quseir Sharm Taahtany (★4.2) Interesting coral-rich wall, easily accessible from Mangroovy Bay by boat (opposite the Oriental Coast area) , perfect for all levels of experience. Centrum Nurkowe Aqarium, 78-100 Kołobrzeg Gabr el Bint (★4.6) Gabr el Bint is located about 15km south of Dahab and is approached by day boat in about 50min. Drop Off with fan corals. Way back over a sandy lagoon with table corals, a reef plateau to end the dive, partly stronger current. Small cave at 26m. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Booby Island (★4.3) This island is located 20 minutes from Praslin by boat. Depths range from 10 to 30 meters. This is a fund dive sometimes with current and a lot of big passages to explore. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Mbwangawa (★4.2) A huge hard coral formation surrounded by stunning soft coral. You will find a pinnacle of coral and different types of fishes. The visibility is good. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna El Fanadir, North (★4.4) 1 hour to the south of El Gouna you can find the Fanadir reefs. It is a wall full of spectacular marine life. Above the wall is a plateau which is about 20m wide, then the wall drops off to over 70m deep. There is one big pinnacle full of glass fish and moray eels. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Ras Nasrani (★4.5) Ras Nasrani is a beautiful coral reef that can be access with daily boat trips or from the jetty. Two dives can be conducted from the entry point, one is toward the land (inside the reef) and the other is outside the reef where a mild current might be encountered. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN St. Pierre (★4.3) St. Pierre island is located north of Praslin. This dive site offers diving for all experience levels. It is a very good site for beginner divers or experienced divers who would like to start with an easy dive. Depth ranges from 4-12 meters. Stephan M. (#1651629) Tobia Arbaa (★4.5) Tobia Arbaa is a popular dive site near Safaga and can be reached by speedboat or daily boat tour. The dive site contains five main pinnacles on a shallow sandy bottom and is suitable for entry level and advanced divers alike. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Shane’s (★4.3) Shane’s is one of the most special reefs to locals in this area. It always surprises with weird, rare marine life. This is a must dive for photographers and macro lovers! Depth ranges between 6 to 25 meters. Scubapro Bluff Point (Small Gubal island) (★4.4) One of the most beautiful wall / drop off dive sites in this area . Untouched coral reefs with both soft and hard coral. There is a current most of the time, therefore this is always drift dive. This site is recommended only for more experienced divers. Anne C. (#4781337) The Three Corners Sea Beach Resort, housereef (★4.4) Main reef with a fall from 12 to 30m and slowly degrades with several pinnacles. Current: little or absent. Entry and Exit depending on sea conditions. Sabine S. (#1307593) Wadi Lahmy Azur, Housereef (★4.3) In the North you find beside the main reef nice coral blocks covered with small marine life. In the South is our lovely Anemone City in a max depth of 12m. The House Reef is fitting for all levels. The depth is between 12m and 40m. SeaUrchin Diving Center, 90502 Flic en Flac Big Rock, Mauritius (★4.6) Big Rock is a beautiful drift drive, easily accessible for any qualified diver offering an architecture for a deeper dive (26m max) or a shallower dive (20m Max). Mares, Janez Kranjc Stonehenge (★4.6) The Stonehenge reef complex is a large area with varied topography, biodiversity and depth variation. There are plenty of shallow areas suitable for entry level divers, and several pinnacles and small walls suitable for more qualified divers. Maximum depth is over 30m although some parts are at the surface. Mares Salon (★4.2) The reef’s main stretch spans around 80 meters, with depths ranging from 9 meters at the top to approximately 15 meters at the base. Salon is approximately a 1.5km boat ride or roughly a 5-minute journey with a bottom time of 45 minutes Grzegorz K. (#1282779) Panorama Reef, Safaga (★4.4) Approach by boat about 60 min, large outer reef with north and south plateau, depth 18-32m. Steep walls on east and west side, depth 40m+ with current mostly from north direction, in light to medium strength. Aqualung Million Hope, Wreck (★4.6) The Million Hope wreck is laying has been laying Nabq bay since 1996. This wreck can be dived several times as it is big and there is so much to see! Apart from the wreck there’s also a crane to explore. Le Lagon Maoré, 97625 KANI-KELI Passe bateau nord (★4.7) The northern boats pass is much appreciated by all divers! Lots of life in the 10-20 meter zone, ideal for divers, the possibility of seeing sharks placed on the bottom of 40 meters; And for confirmed nitrox divers, possibility of reaching the march at 50 meters! Extra Divers Dahab, South Sinai Dahab Eel Garden (★4.6) In Dahab directly, approx. 7min approach. Entrance over wide reef roof, therefore only with little/no wind and high tide diveable. Wide sand field with countless garden eels. Shallow return (7-3m) on a beautiful, brightly coloured reef. Partial counter current on the way back. Anthias Fleet, Hurghda Umm Gamar (★4.4) The big brother to Shabrur Umm Gamar, this site is about 1h20min to the southeast of El Gouna. This site is great for all levels of divers, beginners to experienced, recreational and technical. Drift dives occur very often here. There are nice plateaus and pinnacles on the east and west side and there is a small nice cave on the east side as well. Aqualung El Quadim Nord (★4.4) The El Quadim house reef is located directly in the bay of the Mövenpick Hotel El Quseir and has with its 5000 years of history an eventful past (originally the oldest trading port of Egypt ancient amphorae & anchors). Aqualung Shaab el Erg (★4.3) This dive site is the section of coral reef which makes up the channel of Dolphins House Reef. It is a 1 hour and 10 minute ride northeast of El Gouna. The site has a max depth of 10m and is full of soft coral and anthias fish. There are nice pinnacles with sloping coral gardens nearby. Yoeri D. (#3526102) El Fanadir, South (★4.4) 1 hour to the south of El Gouna you can find the Fanadir reefs. This site features a wall which is full of marine life. After the wall sits a Plateau which is about 20m wide and then there is a drop-off to over 70m depth. On the plateau you will find some pinnacles to explore. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Giants Castle (★4.2) Starting at 26 meters in depth, Giants Castle is massive, extending for more than 350 meters in a north to south direction with a ledge on the eastern side of the reef dropping 7 meters vertically down to the seabed at 35 meters. Mares Beacon Rock (★4.3) Beacon rock is located approximately 7miles west of the Ras Mohammed National Park. A large coral outcrop that fringes the Southern tip of a large lagoon of Sha’ab Mahmoud. On the Southern most tip of this fringing reef is a metal Beacon giving the site its name. This site is home to the wreck of the Dunraven. Mares Marsa Samadai (★4.4) This dive suits all divers. You might dive twice on each reef in this stunning bay. The reef is very rich and you can encounter at this spot hawksbill turtles and gigantic moray eels. ←123→
