Scubapro, Stephen Frink Dori Wreck (★4.5) Wreck 130 meters long and about 30m wide. Maximum depth of 22m at the bow and 18m at the stern, with a minimum depth of 12m in the shallowest part of the wreck. Areas partially destroyed and no penetration inside. Palmela Desporto, 2955-211 Pinhal Novo Forte da Baralha (★4.0) Rock formation located a few meters south of the coast of Sesimbra, near Cape Espichel. It rises from the bottom (located at 15m) to the surface. It is rare that the top of the stone gets completely submerged. Porto Santo Sub, 9400-240 Porto Santo Madeirense (Wreck) (★4.8) This cargo boat sunk in October 2000. The highest point of the wreck is at about 24m and the bottom can reach 35m. There is rarely a current and visibility is always more than 25m. This site is sheltered from the prevailing wind. SSI Iberica (Espana / Spain), 08028 Barcelona Cordeca (Wreck) (★4.8) This Navy corvette sunk in July 2016 to create an artificial reef. The top of the ship is at about 15m and the bottom is at 30m. Visibility is always greater than 25m. Usually sheltered from the current and the wind. Focusnatura, 9100-186 Santa Cruz Mamas / T-Reef, Madeira (★4.3) Mamas-T Reef, also known as T-Reef, is a captivating dive site located in the Underwater Natural Park of Madeira. This site is renowned for its two prominent volcanic pinnacles that rise from a depth of 30 meters to about 12 meters below the surface Mares Baixa do J (★4.5) Reef with large rocks that shelter many marine species. It starts at 13m and goes up to 20m. Current between mild to moderate. Visibility of about 20-30m. Palmela Desporto, 2955-211 Pinhal Novo Baía da Armação (★4.0) Set in a small bay by the shore, this spot (translated into English: Armação Bay) is a favourite because of its existing biodiversity.it is possible to dive here all year round because it is protected by high cliffs. Scubapro Ilhéu de Vila Franca - cozinha (★4.4) Located in the nature reserve of the islet of Vila Franca do Campo, where you can find many passages along the wall up to a depth of 10m along the rock. The maximum depth is 18m. Bottom of small rock formations mixed with sand. Aqualung Arcos da caloura (★4.2) Located 300m from a volcanic sand beach in the small bay of Caloura. The top of the reef is at 5m and can go down to 20m. At 16m we can find 4 impressive arches that are the main attraction of the dive. Mares Ponta da Galera (★4.2) Characterized by several arches in the shallow area between 14 and 18m with the possibility of several passages, and by lava flows that can go up to 40m deep. Scubapro Baía dos Porcos (★4.5) One of the most popular and beautiful dive sites in Madeira. The entrance is at 8 meters and the exit at 18 meters. You can expect a wonderful play of colors of the light reflections. Mares, Janez Kranjc Blue Hole (★4.5) One of the most popular dive sites in Madeira! The entry point is directly at the promenade Reis Magos, in Canico de Baixo. The site can be dived from land as well as by boat. Scorpio Madeira Diving Center, 9200-031 Caniçal Scorpio House Reef (★4.8) Perfect dive site for beginners, diving and snorkeling. The dive site in front of the center has an easy entrance accessible to all starting from 2m to 12-14m with a small wreck on the right side of the tip. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Lavafinger - Galo (★4.2) The dive site is located directly at the dive center and the entrance is well suited for beginners. Whether you explore the small cave, search the wall for sea creatures, or undertake an anemone tour, there is much to discover here. H2ON, 4250-159 Porto Terceirense (★4.3) Cargo ship sunk to 20 meters deep accessible only by boat. Large sections of hull still intact, tubes, boilers and other components are scattered on a sandy bottom populated by an intense marine fauna. Mares Maldivas (★4.6) Situated on the east side of the island, this site is a great place for beginners with depths between 5 and 9 meters, without currents, and with curious rock formations. Mares, Janez Kranjc Propellers Paradise (★4.2) It is an old Tuna fish trawler wreck. Wreckage around a five-bladed propeller. Surrounded by sand it becomes a true oasis for marine life. Shallow dive with no more than 11m depth. Ideal for entry level divers or even macro photography. Can surprise with occasionaly appearance of Sea Horses. Aqualung Baia de Sao Pedro (★4.2) Protected dive site with access from the coast and a maximum depth of 9m. Excellent conditions for teaching open water diving. Presence of marine life with a mixed bottom of rock and sand. Aqualung Prison Break (★4.3) Natural reef with depths ranging from 5m to 18m. It is made of 2 parallel walls along the coast that create protection and allow diving from beginners and advanced levels. Mares, Janez Kranjc The Wall (★4.6) This is a wall dive with shallow area at 12m and bottom at 28m with mixture of sand and rocks. Presence of passing pelagic marine life. Walls with black coral. There is a possibility of drift diving here. Aqualung Baixa das Âncoras (★4.2) This rocky area used to be an anchorage for boats visiting the Port of Vila Franca. It is characterized by having several scattered anchors from different periods, some of which are still intact. Mares, Janez Kranjc VidaMar House Reef (★4.7) VidaMar house Reef is a shore dive with easy accessibility and is available to all divers from beginners to advanced divers.The good visibility, no current, and ease of access make this spot an excellent first dive in Madeira. It also offers an amazing night dive! Aqualung ILHÉU DE SÃO ROQUE (★4.7) 5min by boat from Ponta Delgada marina. It has a sand bottom between 5 and 10m deep. Ideal for Entry Level Divers. Surrounded by a volcanic wall from the surface to the bottom. Mares Gruta dos Camaroes (★4.3) Located on the slope of the Guia Hill, the Gruta dos Camarões (Shrimp Cave) is a deep dive performed in a long and narrow cave. It is only advisable for experienced divers certified in cave diving. Mares Gruta Azul (★4.4) One of the most interesting cave dives of this island. It features 3 different exits, allowing for some interesting circuits, and a wide variety of settings throughout the 150 metres of stone corridors. Maximum depth of only 17 metres.
