Rising from a depth of about 2300m in the Eastern Andaman Sea, Barren lies on the outskirts of the Asia Pacific Ring of Fire. Merely 3 km across on the surface, the volcano is about 355m high. The black volcanic cone with black mudflows, black beaches, and black basalt rocks looks striking against the green forest
The steep slopes and walls running all around the island are laden with all kinds of soft and hard corals. The tall basalt pillars will prove to you that nature is the best artist.
