Kaiser Franz Joseph I, wreck
★★★★☆
(132)
SMS Kaiser Franz Joseph I[e] (sometimes called the Kaiser Franz Josef I[1]) was a protected cruiser built for the Austro-Hungarian Navy. Named for the Austrian emperor and Hungarian king Franz Joseph I, Kaiser Franz Joseph I was the lead ship of her namesake class. Constructed by Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino.
Although in a state of decay, the ship is surrounded by fish; sulphur sponges and scorpionfish inhabit the algae. The second mast is a habitat for yellow sulphur sponges.
