Kreidesee Hemmoor - Einstieg 2
The chalk lake, artificially created by opencast mining, has an area of 33 hectares and a maximum depth of 60 meters. Visibility of up to 25 meters is possible under favorable conditions (longer dry periods). Lots of abandoned mining gear and items sunk especially for divers.
Various underwater plants in the shallow and shore areas that offer protection to the numerous fish such as char, trout, smelt, eel, perch, rudd and tench.
